Our story
Made slow, on purpose.
Longevening started with a simple want: a candle that turns an ordinary evening into a long one. Everything is poured by hand, in small batches, in the United States — and we'd rather tell you exactly what's in it than dress it up.
Our signature soy blend
Every candle is poured from our own wax blend. The base is soy wax — clean and slow-burning. We enhance it with coconut wax for a smoother melt pool and a fuller, truer scent throw, plus a measured amount of paraffin and performance additives that help the fragrance carry and the candle burn evenly, all the way to the edge.
It's soy-forward and built for a long, even burn — not a marketing label. We use a little of what works rather than chase a single-wax claim, and we'd rather be straight about it.
Premier-series wicks
We light our candles with Premier-series wicks — flat, square-braided cotton. They hold a steady flame and curl slightly as they burn so they stay close to self-trimming, which keeps the burn clean and even across our soy blend.
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each light and let the wax pool to the edges on the first burn — that's most of the work done.
How it's made
We blend fragrance to our own recipes, pour in small batches, and cure each candle before it ships so the scent settles. Because everything is made to order, scents rotate and occasionally sell out — that's the trade-off for keeping it small and fresh.
